WAFA beat Kotoko 2-0 to top of GPL

Asante Kotoko suffered 2-0 defeat in the hands of West African Football Academy (WAFA) on Wednesday in the match day 24 outstanding league game.

The first half was a more balanced game as the two sides had created equal opportunities in the game.

After the interval Asante Kotoko were out of gas as they allowed the academy boys to dictate the pace of the game and it was the matter of time for the deadlock of the game to be broken.

Prince Obeng Ampem in the 57 minute got the opening after his well taken free kick was carried away by Felix Annan, but the ball hit the post, before entering into the net.

Ten minutes later Daniel Lomotey doubled the lead for West African Football Academy. Asante Kotoko could have conceded more goals hadn’t been good goalkeeping from Felix Annan.
