The Scot signed a two-year deal with the Rainbow club last week, and was in charge when the Phobians drew 0-0 with Medeama at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Hearts of Oak has struggled in recent times to match their past successes. The club is currently going through a mini trophy drought, having failed to win the Ghana Premier League since 2009.

Nuttal admits that it will be difficult to break that trophy jinx, but was also quick to add that hard work from himself and his players could see the club win the league.

“The Club set a target for me. But I personally would like to win the league title, and I know it is going to take hard work from myself and the players,” Nuttal said in the aftermath of Hearts’ draw with Medeama.

“We can only achieve this target by winning every match in the league.

“So first we have to make sure we win all our games then we can be assured of winning the league trophy."

Hearts of Oak have so far failed to win any of their first two league matches, and Frank Nuttal will be hoping to help the club to a first win of the season they travel to face Ebusua Dwarfs on Wednesday.
