Ahmed Toure signs for Asec Mimosas

Burkinabe striker signs for Ivorian heavyweights Asec Mimosas after fantastic season with Bechem United.

Burkinabe striker Ahmed Toure has signed with Ivorian Giants Asec Mimosas for two years.

Ahmed Toure had a fantastic season with Bechem United and 13 goals in the Ghana Premier League.

Ahmed Toure has spent some time in and out of the Ghana Premier League as he predominantly played for Asante Kotoko from 2007 to 2008.

He went on to play for Lokeren and CS Faxien before coming back to play for Asante Kotoko from 2011 to 2012.

Ahmed Toure played with Bechem United in the CAF Confederations Cup but the side could not get past MC Alger in the first round.

Ahmed Toure is set to replace fellow Burkinabe striker Hervé Oussalé who ended his contract at the end of the Ivorian League season.

Asec Mimosas are currently champions of the Cote D’Ivoire Ligue 1 and the Abidjan based club have won the title a record 25 times.
