The 28-year-old has gone through a turbulent last three years, having had to battle niggling injuries.
Asamoah subsequently took a temporary break from international football in order to focus on regaining his position at club level.
However, the midfielder has now disclosed that a U-turn to the national will happen soon.
“Very soon I will join the team (Black Stars),” Kwadwo Asamoah said while speaking at the 2017 CTBAwards held at the residence of the Italian ambassador to Ghana.
“I left the team due to some injuries and I needed more time to get better. I know Ghana has a lot of talents and even without me, they are doing well. I did not want to join the team half fit but now I’m glad that I’m fully fit and will soon join the team.”
