The ex-Ghana international turned 37 on Tuesday, and the club wasted no time in joining him to celebrate the special day.
Amoah moved to Signal Iduna Park in 2005, but failed to establish himself in the first team and was limited to just cameo appearances.
He featured in just 17 games for the 1997 Champions League winners but could not register a single goal for the club.
The striker then moved to NAC Breda in the summer of 2007, in a bid to get more playing time.
