Anas explains why he used Kotoko and Hearts games to confirm bribery in Ghana football

The investigative journalist has been blamed for including the high profile matches between Kotoko and Hearts in his undercover to proof bribery and corruption in Ghana football.

Anas Aremeyaw Anas has responded to the reason behind his decision to influence Kotoko and Hearts of Oak games to testify the level of corruption in Ghana football.

The latest investigation by Anas Aremeyaw Anas on football dubbed ‘Number 12’ caught several football administrators and match officials on camera taking bribes to influence the outcome of matches, with the GFA President Kwesi Nyantakyi at the centre of the scandal.

Anas and his Tiger Eye PI used matches in the Ghana Premier League and the MTN FA Cup as test cases, including the topliner in Ghanaian soccer between Kotoko and Hearts in the undercover investigation.

Both Hearts and Kotoko have condemned Anas for involving their clubs in the scandal.

Anas Aremeyaw Anas in responding to the reactions of the clubs for influencing their matches expressed no regrets for involving the two biggest clubs in Ghanaian football as part of his investigation.

“We work with people and access. They wanted me to go and take Togolese teams. It is also about contact. Your contact and your access determines your results,” he told Joy FM.
