Player ratings; Ghana vs DR Congo

John Boye 8 -A massive performance from the centre-back. Won his duel with Mbokani which is no mean feat.

Daniel Amartey 8 - A leader's performance from the Leicester man. Lost his head and got booked but another great performance.

Harrison Afful 6 - Found his lost confidence in a battle with Kabananga. Made forward runs and defended well.

Frank Acheampong 6 -  Played well as he kept check on Mubele.

Thomas Partey 7 - A change in role for the Atletico Madrid man, he played in an advanced position. Struggled in the first half but made up for it with a barnstorm ing second half.

Mubarak Wakaso 6 - Another who was slow to get into his stride from his deep position. Failed to connect on passes but improved in the second half as he laid on an assist.

Afriyie Acquah 6 - Brought in to add energy and running, he looked off the pace in the first half but also recovered well in the second half to make a difference

Christain Atsu 6 - had been named as Ghana's most dangerous player by DRC coach Ibenge and was subdued in the first half. Showed flashes of his brilliance in the second half and won the penalty that sent Ghana to the semi-finals.

Jordan Ayew 9 - his best performance in a Ghana shirt, he held up play well and ran at the DRC backline. Scored a brilliant opening goal and didn't look back.

Andre Ayew 8- Flitted IN the first half but magnificent in the second. Kept his cool to slot home the winner and used the ball well as Ghana protected its lead.
