"I received a call yesterday (Tuesday) from Alex Asante (deputy general secretary of the GFA) that I should prepare and come to the camp of the Black Stars, because Adam Kwarasey is ill, so he has declined  to join the team for the AFCON," Dauda told Accra-based Happy FM.

"I will be travelling to Dubai either today (Wednesday January 4) or tomorrow (Thursday January 5)."

The Black Stars are currently embarking on a ten-day camping program in the United Arab Emirates ahead of the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Gabon.
