Chicago Fire attacker, David Accam is confident that his compatriots representing Ghana in the Africa Cup of Nations are capable of winning the trophy.

Accam was excluded from the Black Stars’ final 23-man squad for the tournament by coach Avram Grant.

But the former Helsinborg striker believes the team possesses enough quality to go all way.

However, he was quick to point out that success will not come easy.

Accam told Starr FM: “It is not going to be easy; all the other team will also be hoping to win the trophy. But I know the Black Stars can make Ghana proud especially after losing to Ivory Coast the last time.

“I believe they can win the trophy, [because] that is what every Ghanaian is waiting for and I know the team can do very well and bring the title.

“As I said is not going to be easy, we are in a very tough group but I am urging them to clinch the ultimate.”
