Gianni Infantino promises South Sudan FA $5m dollars

Mr. Gianni Infantino and his agent former Cameroonian international Jeremy Njitap visited Juba on Saturday as part of their African campaign tour.

On 26th February, 2016, all the 209 FIFA members will gather at the headquarters in Zurich to elect the successor to the former President Mr. Seep Blatter and relive Mr. Issa Hayatou from the interim role at the helm.

One of the running candidates Mr. Gianni Infantino and his agent former Cameroonian international Jeremy Njitap visited Juba on Saturday as part of their African campaign tour.

This visit came after Confederation of African Football (CAF) voted on Friday last week to back the other leading contender, Sheikh Salman bin Ebrahim al-Khalifa of Bahrain.

Although this does not represent the entire interest of the 54 members of CAF as South Sudan through FA’s boss Mr. Chabur Goc Alei declared to support the General Secretary of UEFA Mr. Infantino who became Federations’ candidate when Uefa president Michel Platini was prevented from taking part over the payment scandal that saw him banned from football for eight years.

While addressing the press in Juba, Mr. Gianni promised that if he is elected into the office in the upcoming elections, he will give $ 5 million annual for South Sudan Football Association.

In addition to the 5 million, SSFA will also be receiving an amount of $ 1 million every year to facilitate their participation in regional and international tournaments such as Afcon, CECAFA, and World Cup.

One more million Dollars was also promised by the European candidate to facilitate activities of Clubs in the country more especial teams that go to represent the country outside, this money is to be used for their transportation and up keeping.
