Swansea City should consider adding Jordan Ayew to Andre Ayew. Now can we talk about this transfer topic now?

The Welsh club have tried and tested a product of African football legend Abedi Pele, and it worked to perfection.

A top goal scorer who never troubled the club medical room breaks in the football season as a result of an injury. Motivator by default, headline grabber week in and week out showed Swansea City never made a mistake in signing Ghana Black Stars vice-captain Andre Ayew.

Now, why is this talk about Andre Ayew when the topic for discussion is Swansea City signing Aston Villa forward Jordan Ayew?

Well, Andre Ayew joined Swansea City last summer after making it in any transfer newspaper across the globe. The Ghanaian player’s contract with French club Olympique Marseille had run out, and he insisted he wanted a challenge elsewhere.

The challenge was on for top clubs across Europe to battle for the signature of the Black Stars player. In the end, Welsh club Swansea City won and that has been a great win considering Ayew’s performance in the past year.

Now, Jordan Ayew is a player of Aston Villa, who are currently in the English Championship.

The English club played in the Premier League when Jordan Ayew joined from the French Ligue 1 last summer. The transfer move by his elder brother to England sparked his desire to join arguably the most watched football league in the world.

His fate in English football is, however, one very opposite to what his brother had experienced.

Jordan started off life in the English Premier League on a slow note. He was benched for a few games by then-manager Tim Sherwood after failing to impress in his opening matches for Aston Villa.

Under the same Premier League circumstances, Andre Ayew was already a household name for Swansea City making the headlines after every matchday.

But Jordan has a strong personality. He came back into his strides and came back good.

In a season that was shadowed by Aston Villa’s failure to prevent a goal from entering their net in almost every game, their inability to keep a coach, and their sheer lack of enthusiasm in playing games, Jordan Ayew was the shining light.

The Ghanaian forward, in the end, had moments to be proud of despite Aston Villa’s inability to save their season.

Jordan Ayew is still with Aston Villa and has continued from where he ended last season. The Ghanaian player in preparing for the English Championship season has scored in every game in pre-season for Aston Villa.

Ayew continues to show he is a good player, and Swansea City should consider signing the Ghana international in addition to his elder brother Andre.

Swansea City in their second pre-season game in the United States of America had Black Stars vice-captain Andre Ayew back after giving the Ghanaian player some extra time off.

In the game against Richmond Kickers, Andre who played in the first was deployed as a striker as he had been used in some parts of last season.

The bottom line to that is Andre is not the player who leads the line upfront. Despite him showing high levels of efficiency in that role, Andre Ayew operates best on the wings or behind the main striker.

Swansea City need a striker. Jordan Ayew has shown some level of proficiency in front of goal. Swansea have tried and tested an Ayew product. Jordan would love a move back to the English Premier League.

So can we just talk about Swansea City signing Ghanaian forward Jordan Ayew in addition to his elder brother Andre Ayew now?
