Two boxers make weights, ready for war

I can assure each and every one that Friday is going to be war - Isaac “Royal Storm” Dogboe.

Dogboe – Tabanao will battle each other for a unification bout, also on the line is the vacant WBC Youth World title. At the weigh-in on Thursday at the forecourt of the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC) both boxers weighed 124.7Ibs.

The undefeated Ghanaian hard hitter after his weigh-in said:

“I can assure each and every one that Friday is going to be war. When I say war I mean war out, someone is going to go down and I assure you it is not going to me. I can assure that on Friday everyone has to be there at the Police Headquarters to come and witness a great fight, a historic fight, unifying the WBO Africa title and WBO Oriental title in addition to the WBC Youth World title,” said Dogboe.

“This is a historic event. I would like to thank the Ghana Boxing Authority for being supportive to us. Our former Presidents, Jerry John Rawlings and John Agyenkum Kuffuor, and His Excellency John Mahama and his brother Ibrahim Mahama for being behind us. And I would like to thank each and every one in attendance, you the fans are making it possible. So FridayI can’t wait to see you all supporting me. I assure you pure fireworks from round one because I know we are going to stop Tabanao,” he added.

But the Filipino wasn’t perturbed with Dogboe’s strong words as he also shared some few words.

“I thank God for this wonderful day he has given to us, the fight is on Friday and Isaac and me will face each other in the ring and don’t miss it.”
