Ghanaian striker bags brace to down Columbus Crew

The Black Stars striker was the hero of the day as his two goals helped Chicago Fire beat Harrison Afful’s Columbus Crew in MLS.

Accam put his side in the driver's seat with some early heroics, taking a feed from John Goossens and firing a lovely curling blast inside the far post from just outside the penalty box in the 7th minute.

He doubled Chicago Fire’s lead after Rodrigo Ramos and Nick LaBrocca combined to set him up in the 59 minute to register his 4th goal in 5 games

With the Crew chasing an improbable comeback, Ethan Finlay cut the deficit in half from the penalty spot after a handball in the penalty area by Chicago's Johan Kappelhof.

Harrison Afful, the Black Stars defender was in action for the visitors, Columbus Crew.
