Jeffrey Schlupp joins Crystal Palace

The Leicester man, Jeffrey Schlupp has moved south on a four-and-a-half-year deal.

West Brom were also after Schlupp - but they've lost out to Sam Allardyce's team.

Palace are back in Premier League action tomorrow away at West Ham.

And their new man has been registered in time to play, Sky Sports report.

Schlupp, 24, has joined for an undisclosed fee, reported to be £12m

He was surplus to requirements at champions Leicester, but will likely get a start for Allardyce's Palace.

The Eagles boss revealed yesterday he's desperate to land new defenders this month.

"My interest is to strengthen the defensive areas at this time," he said.

"When (Wilfried) Zaha and (Bakary) Sako come back we'll have options. Loic (Remy) is fit again.

"Strengthening attack is not my priority. Keeping clean sheets is a priority for me, it's imperative we stop letting goals in.

"We may look at other areas once we strengthen those defensive areas."

West Brom boss Tony Pulis had been interested in Schlupp, who joins a Palace side 17th in the Premier League.

The Eagles, one point above the relegation zone, visit West Ham on Saturday, then have an FA Cup third-round replay at home to League One Bolton on 17 January.

Schlupp will be available for the game at London Stadium..
