Ghana league top-scorer Kofi Owusu joins Egyptian side Aswan

Berekum Chelsea forward Kofi Owusu has officially joined Egyptian top-flight side Aswan SC on a four year deal, Pulse Sports Ghana can confirm.

The former Okwawu Utd and Aduana Stars attacker completed his move to the Egyptian side on Monday.

The 27 year old goal poacher before his move was heavily link to Congolese giants TP Mazembe but talks between the two parties failed to materialize and he has now joined Aswan SC.

“I have signed for Aswan SC and it is a four-year deal, I started talks with them last month after they expressed interest in me and they tabled down a good offer, ‘Kofi Owusu told Pulse Sports Ghana.

“I’m pleased with the terms in the contract and I have to repay them for the kind of confidence they have in me by exhibiting good performance on the field,” he added.

Owusu last season won the Ghana premier league top scorer award with 19 goals and his new found club are currently at the 13th position with 18 points in the ongoing Egyptian league.
