Ghana winger not thinking about permanent Newcastle move

The Black Stars winger says his future is in the hands of Newcastle

Christian Atsu says he isn’t thinking about a permanent move to Newcastle United just yet.

But the Ghanaian winger has revealed his happiness at the move to Tyneside so far and says that it will be Newcastle’s decision on whether he makes the move from Chelsea on a full-time basis.

The former FC Porto wideman goes into the game with Burton Albion at the Pirelli Stadium looking to impress after sealing a 2-0 win at Wigan Athletic earlier this week.

When asked about his future, Atsu said: “Newcastle is a big club and I respect them. “Right now I am concentrating on playing football.

“It is their decision at the end of the season.”

And Atsu said he was loving life under Benitez at the moment. He said: “He is a great coach and great team manager. “I am very pleased to work with him. “He has given me a lot of confidence on the pitch and movement as a winger.

“With time I can improve more.”
