Bechem United 2-1 MC Alger of Algeria

The FA Cup champions of Ghana cruised to a 2-1 home win against the MC Alger from Algeria

The Ghanaian side pushed for the opener in the first half, yet they couldn't get the breakthrough in the half.

Bechem United, however hit the ground running just after the referee's first whistle after the interval and a player was brought down in the 18-yard but in the quest of the Ghana FA Cup champion's to find the opener.

The referee awarded Bechem United a penalty and Ahmed Toure, who stepped up for the kick threw the Algerian goalkeeper at wrong side to record the first goal.

The visitors, after conceding came into the game strongly and got a corner. The height advantage of MC Alger was utilised as they headed home to come level.

But Bechem United after pilling pressure and creating numerous goalscoring opportunities finally had a goal when substitute Yaw Osei Bonsu pounced on a ball to give his side a 2-1 win.
