The first woman to win an Olympic boxing division, Nicola Adams, struck gold again at Rio 2016, retaining her flyweight title as Cuba's Robeisy Ramirez tasted success at a second weight.

Adams beat France's Sarah Ourahmoune by unanimous decision - winning rounds one, two and four on all three judges' scorecards - stepping it up with the pressure on after Ourahmoune edged the third round.

"The gold rush continues," Adams told the BBC, after earning Great Britain's 26th gold of the Games.

"I'm now officially the most accomplished amateur boxer Great Britain has ever had. I can't believe it."

Cuba's Ramirez was men's flyweight champion in London four years ago, and beat Shakur Stevenson on split decision to add a bantamweight title to his collection.

Greek judge Evangelos Bougioukas scored the bout in the American's favour, but Ramirez had done enough in the eyes of Bougioukas' colleagues from France and Vietnam.

"I am really happy to win this gold medal. A lot of people didn’t expect me to win, but I did," Ramirez said.

"I want to thank my family, my girlfriend and my grandfather who is sick and we thought he was not going to see me fight. But he was watching."

Cuba secured another gold in the men's middleweight division as Arlen Lopez beat Bektemir Melikuziev of Uzbekistan by unanimous decision
