Azumah Nelson has shared the three secrets that made him a great boxer during his heydays.

Nelson made Ghana proud by defending the featherweight and the Super featherweight titles for a period of 11 years from 1983 to 1994.

He was inducted into both the International Boxing Hall of Fame and the World Boxing Hall of Fame for his great contribution to boxing.

Azumah Nelson has revealed the three things that made him a great boxer.

"Three things made me a great boxer. I had a better coach in the person of the late Attoquaye Kottey, so I knew the techniques of boxing better than my opponents.

"I worked hard and God was on my side, because there is a saying that God helps those who help themselves," he told Happy FM.
