Razak Braimah, Fatau Dauda dropped by Kwesi Appiah

The Black Stars coach has overlooked Fatau Dauda and Razak Braimah when he named his provisional 30-man squad.

Razak Braimah has been the number one shot stopper of the Black Stars since 2015. He kept the post for Ghana during the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), which the Black Stars finished runners-up.

And Braimah, however was the number one goalie for the Black Stars, despite lack of much playing time at Cordoba.

He came under intense criticisms during the 2017 AFCON and he couldn’t take them and also hit back at his critics in a bizarre manner which agitated Ghanaians.

Razak Braimah lost public support before the tournament came to an end and the Ghana Football Association had to plead on his behalf to calm down tension in the camp of the Black Stars.

Whereas Fatau Dauda after the 2014 FIFA World Cup has been struggling to break into the Black Stars team.

He was even left out of the Black Stars team for the 2017 AFCON, but he was recalled after Adam Kwarasey opted out of the squad.

Kwesi Appiah named three local goalkeepers, namely Joseph Addo, Felix Annan and Richard Ofori and Adam Kwarasey was the only foreign based player who was been invited to the provisional 30-man squad as Ghana prepare for the 2019 AFCON qualifier against Ethiopia.
