The Ghana international believes Claude Makele is the finest player he has ever faced

Kevin-Prince Boateng has rated the former France and Chelsea midfielder as the best player he has ever played against.

Boateng, 29 is currently enjoying life in Spain with Las Palmas, having been in a good run of form scoring five goals for the Canaries since joining them at the beginning of the season.

Kevin-Prince Boateng who has so far played in all the top four European leagues-Germany, England, Italy andSpain and having faced several oppositions both at the club and at the national team levels has disclosed that Claude Makelele is the best player he has ever faced in his entire football career.

"Makelele. In a Tottenham vs Chelsea game at Stamford Bridge. He was incredible. He didn't let me touch the ball once. He was a very strong player," he told Marca.

Makelele had a fruitful career at Real Madrid before joining Chelsea, where his side had an encounter with K.P Boateng’s Tottenham at the time.
