Augustine Okrah surprised by Ghana AFCON snub

Augustine Okrah has expressed dismay at being left out of Ghana's provisional AFCON squad despite an impressive season with Al Hilal.

Augustine Okrah says he is surprised at his exclusion from Ghana's squad to the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations.

The Sudan-based winger who has scored 40 goals in three seasons despite predominantly being used as a winger took to Twitter to vent his frustration in a New Year's message to his fans.

Okrah had a tremendous season with Al Merreikh where he bagged 17 goals for the Khartoum-based side.

Ghana coach Avram Grant is expected to announce his final 23-man squad on Monday before leaving for Dubai to continue preparations.
