Asamoah Gyan says Ghana would have to push harder in Group D

The Black Stars will have to put in a little more work to qualify from Group D according to captain Asamoah Gyan.

The draw for Africa’s top international football tournament was held on Wednesday with Ghana being placed in Group D alongside Mali, Egypt and Uganda.

Group D has a familiar look for the Black Stars who have Egypt and Uganda in their 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifying group.

Asked whether Ghana can be hopeful in the group they’ve been placed in for the AFCON 2017, captain of the side, Asamoah Gyan said everything is possible but he and his teammates would have to push harder to go through their group.

The Africa Cup of Nations kicks off on January 14, 2017 and ends on February 5, 2017.
