Gabriel Leveh, Rashid Alhassan and Edmund Arko Mensah will return to the team after being rested against Guinea, while right-back Najeeb has been replaced by John Otu due to suspension, with Bismark Terry Owusu taking the place of Ibrahim Sulley in their clash against Niger.

Ghana prior to reaching the last four enjoyed emphatic 4-0 and 5-0 wins against Cameroon and hosts Gabon in their opening and second group games, respectively but they were held to a goalless draw by Guinea in their final group A clash in a game coach Paa Kwesi Fabien fielded a weaker side.
