Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry was ruled out before game two of their play-off series against the Houston Rockets because of an ankle injury.

Stephen Curry will miss the Golden State Warriors' meeting with the Houston Rockets on Monday.

Curry was considered a game-time decision to play after sitting out Monday's shootaround, opting instead to receive treatment.
The reigning NBA MVP suffered the injury on Saturday when he landed awkwardly on his right ankle during the first half of a 104-78 win.
After trying to return in the second half, Curry was kept on the bench for the rest of the game and has been listed as questionable since.

The Warriors were preparing to replace Curry's NBA-leading 30.1 points per game if need be.
"Obviously 30 points out of the line-up, a lot of playmaking, a lot of easy buckets," team-mate Klay Thompson said on Monday, via ESPN.
"We just have to do it in a more meticulous way as far as moving the ball, being more patient.
"Without Steph in the line-up, we don't have those easy looks in transition he usually gives us.
"We just got to do it even more as a team now and rely heavily on our defense and get out on transition."

Shaun Livingston, who averaged 6.3 points and 3.0 assists per game this season, will start in his place.
