Michael Osei satisfied with draw against Hearts of Oak

Asante Kotoko coach Michael Osei says the draw for his side against Hearts of Oak was OK.

Osei’s side took the lead in the 17th minute through Kwame Boateng’s left foot strike from close.

In the second half, Hearts of Oak seized their midfield and took control of the game which the Phobians pulled even in the 52nd minute courtesy a fine finish from Patrick Razak.

And after the game Kotoko gaffer says he is content with the 1-1 draw with the Phobians, adding that their next target is to win at New Edubiase.

“Both teams played very well they [Hearts] were more tactical it was an intense game and I think the 1-1 draw is ok,” Osei said in a post-match interview.

“Sometimes you can’t dominate the whole 90 minutes, like I was saying everybody deserved the point. We need to win against New Edubiase so we are going back to prepare ourselves and go to Edubiase.”

Kotoko are at the 4th position with 33 points and on Wednesday they will battle relegation threatening side New Edubiase in Bekwai.
