Ghana captain scores in Al Ahli's 2-2 stalemate with Al Sharjah

The 31-year old forward leveled the score line for the home from the penalty spot side after Gelmin Rivas had given the away side the lead early in the first half.

Black Stars skipper Asamoah Gyan was on target for Al Ahli in their 2-2 stalemate with Al Sharja in the UAE Arabian Gulf League on Saturday.

The 31-year old started the game for his side after missing out a couple of matches for the side due to fitness concerns.

Gyan leveled the score line for the home from the penalty spot side after Gelmin Rivas had given the away side the lead early in the first half.

Rivas struck the away side into the lead on the 80th minute mark but Senegalese Makhete Diop found the equalizer for the Al Ahli three minutes later as they secured a point.

Al Ahli are 10 points adrift of league leaders Al Jazira.
