Black Stars will dwell on experience to win AFCON 2017

Black Stars skipper says the experience of 2015 will be crucial in their bid to win the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations.

The Black Stars last won the Africa Cup of Nations 35 years ago, and have lost all the three finals since losing the 1982 final in Libya- 1992, 2010 and finally in 2015.

Most football fans and pundits have written them off Ghana, as they compete in the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations, because they have failed to win any of the last five games played.

But Asamoah Gyan is optimistic his side will turn the scales in their favour in the 31st edition of the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).

Ghana are in Gabon preparing for their opening group D game against Uganda,

"This year we have almost the same players [as in 2015]," Gyan said.

"Some lads [have] joined recently but 95% of the team are the same and we have been working under the coach for more than two years so we understand each other."
