Swansea City to cash in on Black Stars vice-captain

English Premier League club Swansea City will not block a transfer move for Andre Ayew if they receive the right offer

The former Olympique Marseille forward joined the Premier League club from the French Ligue 1 last summer after Swansea City saw of competition from a host of clubs across Europe.

Swansea City are set for a post-season rebuilding of their team to avoid the troubles they have had to deal with this season. The club are not afraid to ship off certain key members of the squad in a bid to freshen up for the next season.

Andre Ayew started the season with Swansea City on a high scoring in his Premier League debut against Swansea City. The Ghanaian player is the second highest scoring player for the Swans this season having bagged eight goals in 31 games.

Ayew’s form has however tailed off since the turn of the year and has scored two in the second part of the season.

Swansea will not block a fair transfer offer for the former Olympique Marseille player despite fighting off keen interest from Sunderland in the January transfer window.

There has been no report of Andre Ayew being a problem at Swansea City and his commitment has been well noted by the club.

However, the Black Stars vice-captain is among the highest paid players at Swansea City and the Wales club could use his signing on fee as a backbone to fund their new recruiting shake up.

Andre Ayew has played 2,668 minutes for Swansea City in 31 games. The player has never come on as a substitute but has been replaced in a game 14 times. He has scored 8 goals for Swansea City so far and has received a yellow card booking 5 times with no red card since joining the English Premier League club.
