The speculation comes after Swans boss Francesco Guidolin admitted the star's future was not in his hands, sparking fears the Welsh club could lose arguably their best player.

Asked about Ayew's future on the weekend, Guidolin said: "Andre is a good guy and a good player, I hope he stays with us but I don’t know.

"It is important to keep him, but it is not my job. My job is to train and to get the team to play well and to get good results. I am confident he will stay."

The Swans will be desperate to keep hold of Ayew after missing out on Joe Allen and with Bafetimbi Gomis set to join Marseilles on loan.

Swansea themselves have been linked with a move to re-sign Wilfried bony from Man City
