Black Stars midfielder wants Ghanaians to forget Brazil fiasco

The Black Stars used to enjoy massive support from the people of Ghana, but lost favour, after the players boycotted training prior to their final group game against Portugal over the delay in the payment of appearance fees.
Attendance in Black Stars games has reduced drastically and the players are sometimes booed by spectators when they fail to get the desired results.
Andre Ayew, the deputy skipper of the team expressed how the ill-attitude of Ghanaians towards the Black Stars is affecting them ahead of their 0-2 away win against Mauritius.

And his teammate Agyemang Badu has added his voice to it, stating that it is a high time Ghanaians backed them like they used to do, since they have been sacrificing a lot after the Brazil saga.
“Many Ghanaians still use what happened in Brazil against us. However, we have been sacrificing a lot since then. When the Minister for Sports spoke to us that he wanted to cut down our winning bonus by 20%, no one complained. We even excelled in the 2015 African Cup of Nations by reaching the final, yet still fans in the country are bitter about us.
“I think it is high time Ghanaians changed their attitude towards us and support the Black Stars to play their hearts out,” he told Happy FM.
