Veep backs Black Stars to beat Cameroon

Ghana set a date with The Indomitable Lions after beating DR Congo 2-1 on Sunday in the quarters. The Black Stars needed goals from Jordan Ayew and Andre Ayew.

The clash between Ghana and Cameroon will be a repeat of the 2008 AFCON (when Ghana hosted the tournament). Cameroon defeated Ghana 1-0 at the Accra Sports Stadium to earn a place at the final.

But despite the rich football history of the two teams, the second gentleman of the land, Dr. Bawumia is confident Ghana will beat Cameroon but it won’t be easy.

“Next up is Cameroon, which won't be an easy task. But with the continuous support and prayers of all Ghanaians, the Black Stars will make it,” he tweeted after Black Stars' win against DR Congo.

Ghana-Cameroon clash will come off on Thursday at the Stade de Franceville.
