Uganda win reawakens Ghanaians interest in Black Stars

Ghanaians were all over the social media to express their joy, after the Black Stars edged Uganda by a goal to nil on Tuesday in their group D AFCON opener.

The hopes of Ghanaians have gone high, following the Black Stars 1-0 victory over Uganda on Tuesday in their Africa Cup of Nations Group D game.

Andre Ayew’s goal from the spot kick after Asamoah Gyan had been brought down in the first half was enough to give Ghana a good start to their 2017 AFCON campaign.

Expectations were low before the start of the tournament, because the Black Stars had failed to win any of their past five competitive games.

However, the Black Stars needed a good start to revive the support of Ghanaians back home and even before the game ended several people took to twitter to express their joy and back the nation to an AFCON triumph.
