Uganda defender apologises for Ghana penalty

Isaac Isinde has rendered an unqualified apology to Uganda for his error that resulted in Ghana's penalty against the Cranes on Tuesday.

Asamoah Gyan robbed Isinde of the ball, before the defender pulled down the Black Stars skipper in the 18-yard to force the referee into making a penalty call and Andre Ayew scored from the resultant spot kick.

The 25-year old has apololised for committing an error that cost his nation a defeat in their opening game of the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON)

“It hurts to lose a game of football,” he is quoted by Kawowo Sports.

"More so, I feel bad that it’s my error that cost the team. I apologise to all Ugandans and fellow players for the mistake."
