Thomas Partey has apologised to the football loving fans of Ghana, after the Black Stars failed to impress in the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations in Gabon.
Ghana missed out on the grand finale when they suffered a 0-2 defeat against Cameroon and subsequently lost the third place 0-1 to Burkina Faso on Saturday to end their AFCON campaign on a poor note.

Thomas Partey, who played five of Ghana’s six games has sent a heart-warming message to Ghanaians, after their AFCON campaign.

"It was the dream and wish of all Ghanaians to win the prestigious cup of AFCON 2017 but unfortunately we couldn't attain that goal . We are sorry for disappointing all Ghanaians around the world who have given us the massive support and rallied behind us since day 1,” Partey posted on his Instagram page
“Nevertheless all I can say is a big thank you to Ghana for giving me this opportunity to serve my beloved country.
“All is not lost and we hope to come back strongly the next time and bring joy to the faces of all Ghanaians.
