Senegal books quarter finals ticket after win over Zimbabwe

Senegal became the first nation to progress to the quarter finals, following a comfortable 2-0 win against Zimbabwe

The 2002 African Cup of Nations runners-up had already won their first game – recording a 2-0 win over Tunisia.

The West African side  scored  two first half goals thanks to Sadio Mane's 10th minute strike before Henri Saviet doubled their lead three minutes later.

It was expected that the star studded Senegalese side will over power Zimbabwe and they did it in grand style.

The Teranga Lions could have scored more than the two goals but the likes of Sadio Mane and Musa Sow failed to get the back of the net.

Senegal last game in the Group will be against Algeria.
