Ghana's group D opponent Uganda thrash Slovakia

Uganda defeated the Europeans 3-1 on Sunday to earn a victory ahead of the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations

Moses Oloya gave Uganda an early lead as he opened the scoring within the first five minutes. Farouk Miya made it 2-0 his at the quarter-hour mark as the Cranes headed into the dressing in comfortable lead.

Twelve minutes into the second half, Denis Vavro  reduced the deficit for Slovakia, but Geoffrey Massa put the the Europeans beyond recovery with the third goal in the 78th minute.

Uganda had claimed a 1-0 win over Slovenia on Friday, two days after losing 2-0 to Tunisia. The Cranes will finalise their preparations for the AFCON with a friendly against reigning champions Ivory Coast on Wednesday.

Uganda were drawn in Group D alongside Egypt, Ghana and Mali. They will play their first match on the 17th against Ghana.
