Andre and Jordan Ayew both score to send Ghana to semi finals

Both Jordan and Andre Ayew found the net as Ghana secured their place in the last four of the Africa Cup of Nations.

Ghana's Ayew brothers grabbed a goal each to beat DR Congo 2-1 and put the Black Stars through to the Africa Cup of Nations semi-finals.

Aston Villa's Jordan Ayew opened the scoring on 62 minutes, curling the ball past Ley Matampi in the Leopards goal.

Paul-Jose M'Poku equalised for DR Congo with a sensational curling long-range effort from outside the box.

West Ham's Andre Ayew then coolly dispatched a winning penalty, sending Matampi the wrong way to seal the win.

After a cagey first period, it took a piece of individual brilliance from Jordan Ayew to spring the game into life.

A perfect touch took him away from the challenge of the defender to allow him the space to curl a succulent effort into the top corner from 18 yards.

But he was soon outdone. M'Poku let rip from 30 yards just five minutes later and spectacularly levelled the game.

DR Congo should have had another boost too, as Leicester's Daniel Amartey somehow avoided a red card for a shocking tackle from behind.

It proved to be a let off for Ghana.
