Ghana goalkeeper makes winning start as Rosenborg win 6-0

The 28-year-old was in action for the Norwegian champions in their 6-0 win over FK Haugesund in the Norwegian Eliteserien.

Ghana goalkeeper Adam Kwarasey kept a clean sheet on his Rosenborg debut on Saturday night.

Kwarasey joined the Norwegian champions from Major League Soccer side Portland Timbers ostensibly for more playing time.

He made 40 appearances for the Timbers over a year and a half in MLS and helped Portland win the MLS Cup last December.

Kwarasey will have an opportunity to play in the Champions League with Rosenborg, who are in the midst of a second qualifying round tied with Swedish side Norrkoping.

The keeper is a Ghana international but was born in Norway and previously played there for Stromsgodset.
