But that has not always been the case, as one partner is likely to cheat on the other.
Many argue that men with lean bank accounts are emotionally stable and faithful unlike rich men.
So the expectation would be that women would get more attracted to poor men in order to avoid the sleepless nights and frustrations associated with being cheated on.

But other people believe that a faithful broke man might not always appear as others see him.
So would you prefer to date a poor man who is faithful or a rich man who cheats?
When Pulse.com.gh posed this question to its followers on its Instagram page, many women opted for rich men.
They explained that even though they will be left brokenhearted, they would have at least benefited in some way from the relationship.
As one follower, bernadettelancelot, put it: “Almost all men cheat so I'll go for the rich one.”

“Rich and poor men cheat lol...poor cheat more go to zongo areas u will see lol I will cry in a gwagon,” moeshaboduong said.
“Well poor faithful men make you happy but I can't be happy when I'm hungry so...,” a user who goes by the name elle cee4 wrote.
