Interviewing potential wedding photographers can be a daunting task, regardless of if you are hiring the best team or studio in Nigeria.

 

You need to pay attention to soft skills, and also know the kind of theme you want, your story starts from your pre-wedding photographs, to picking your wedding dress and accessories.

Here are 5 important questions to ask your wedding photographers.

1. What is your primary style? Photographers are influenced by various things, some on fashion, while some on art.

Those who are fashion influenced are most likely to be focused on the statement in your dress, accessories etc. while those who are influenced by art tend to tell stories with their photographs.

2. How many wedding have you shot? This is basically to know the level of experience the individual has.

3. How many events do you have to cover that weekend? This question is important because you don't want stranded on your special day.

4. What kind of equipments do you use? While wedding photographers don't need the best of the best cameras, it is mandatory to ask, so as to know the kind of quality to expect. You should also ask if the individual has a backup lens or camera, should in-case the unexpected happens.

5. How long after the event will the proofs, album, etc be ready? Each studio varies, some do not do any color corrections or post production adjustments may try to entice you by saying your photos will be ready in few days.

However, most studios that develop and produce their images will take anywhere from 2 weeks to 6 months.
