'I have been the most insulted President' - Mahama

"…Stop the insults. I have been the most insulted and my government has been the most insulted in the history of this county, Mahama has stated.

President John Mahama

President John Mahama has indicated that his government will not be distracted from performing the mandate of transforming Ghana and changing lives.

According to him, insults in our politics is unacceptable and therefore members of the NDC must shun insults.

President Mahama addressing party supporters in the Greater Accra Region urged them to pray for good health for their opponents.

"We are not campaigning on anybody’s health. Every day when you pray, pray for yourself, pray for your country and your opponent so that God gives us all good health to be able to go into 2016. And I will advise our opponents to also do likewise."

He said the "NDC is a party of peace. We want a peaceful election adding that the NDC doesn't want to fight but if you push us into the corner, we shall defend ourselves."

"…Stop the insults. I have been the most insulted and my government has been the most insulted in the history of this county. And every day when you listen to the radio personal invective and insults are ruined on my person, but like I said, those things are not going to distract me. I have a job to do. I was given a mandate by the people of Ghana and I’m not going to let those useless insults distract me from that mandate. But I’m not surprised. If you see what your enemy will do to themselves then you can guess what they will do to you when they get you."
