Police rescues Anas' team member from kidnappers

The Police were able to arrest one of the kidnappers but his counterparts are on the run.

 

The Tamale Regional Police Command has rescued a member of ace investigative Journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas’ Tigereye team from kidnappers.

Ishmael Hussein was reported to have been kidnapped on Saturday morning but was later rescued after the news of his kidnapped got to the Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Alhassan.

Hussein is currently in the custody of the Tamale Regional Police Command.

Hussein was one of the undercover investigators who revealed the corruption in the country’s judicial system.

Over 30 Judges from the high and lower courts, over 100 court clerks, State Attorneys and personnel from the Police Service were captured on camera taking bribes to subvert the course of justice.

So far, seven Judges have been suspended.
