Meanwhile, a Sekondi High Court in the Western Region has placed an injunction on the district level election at West Tanokrom in the Sekondi/Takoradi Metropolis.

The plaintiff is the immediate past Assembly Member for West Tanokrom Samuel Kwesi Anderson who is seeking election for a fourth time.

He is suing the EC for unlawful disqualification.

The district, regional and the national EC offices have been served with the writ accordingly.

Samuel Kwesi Anderson was disqualified on the basis of falsifying his Academic certificate.

He was accused of stating on his nomination forms as an A level certificate holder instead of an O level certificate holder, but Anderson has denied this saying it was a mere error and not intentional.
