The 2016 Flag bearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, has urged the Zongo Community in Koforidua to have confidence in his ability to turn the fortunes of the nation around and vote massively for him come December 7, next year.
âWe will make judicious use of the nationâs resources to benefit everyone,â he told the Zongo Chief, Ali Kruibi III, his elders and teeming Zongo youth who had thronged the chiefâs palace to welcome him and his entourage.
Nana Akufo-Addo was accompanied by his running mate, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, the National Womenâs Organiser, Madam Otiko Djaba, Mr Alan Kyeremanten and other party big wigs.

Later, at a meeting with members of TESCON at the All Nationâs University, Dr Bawumia predicted that Ghanaâs debt stock was likely to hit GhÂą 110 billion by next year. Ghanaâs debt, according to him, now stands at GhÂą 93.4 billion from GhÂą 9.2 billion in 2008 when the NDC took over the reins of government.
He said the NDC was compromising the future of the youth and it was, therefore, time for change.
