He made the disclosure on Joy FM's Top Story Wednesday when he was being interviewed on the party's response to President John Mahama's manifesto highlights on Tuesday.

He, however, could not tell the venue of the launch, saying it is being worked out.

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) will on Saturday, September 17 launch its manifesto in the Brong Ahofo Region ahead of the December vote.

On Tuesday, a highlight presentation of the manifesto was made by the party's flagbearer, president Mahama, in the presence of the diplomatic community and party bigwigs.

The party's founder, former president Jerry John Rawlings was not present for the event.

Addressing a press conference Wednesday, Mr Akomea described as empty the various promises made by President Mahama.

He said the President “steals ideas from his political opponents only to be found wanting when it comes to implementing them.”

He said the NDC has “no deep attachment to the principles necessary to drive the promises they give. To them, politics is all about ways and means. Nothing to do with actually making lives better.”
