Bawku youth unhappy with Akufo-Addo over appointments

The group, numbering 200 with red bands around their head, said despite their loyalty to the New Patriotic Party no one from the constituency was appointed minister or deputy ministers.

A youth group in the Bawku Central of the Upper East Region have expressed reservation about the exclusion of people from the area in the presidents appoitment.

They registered their protest on Saturday at a news conference, saying they want a representation in the Akufo-Addo government.

Touching on the appointment of a Municipal Chief Executive, the group suggested two names the president to consider.

They are Abubakar Iddrisu Bawa and Amadu Moqtar.

According to them, these two persons qualify for the job, urging the president to look no further than these names.

Bawku Central is one of the constituencies in the Upper East the NPP performs creditably well.
