President-elect Nana Akufo-Addo has appointed a private legal practitioner, Nana Asante Bediatuo, as Executive Secretary.
Sources suggest that Nana Asante Bediatuo is currently understudying the outgoing Executive Secretary Ambassador Thomas Kwasi Quartey.
He is currently being taken through the rudiments of the job. Some of his roles after he takes the office will include drafting speeches for the President, receiving communications to the President from other heads of States and international organisations among others.

He will take office from January 7, 2017 after Nana Addo is sworn into office on the same date.

He started his legal career as an Attorney at Paul Weiss Rifkind Wharton & Garrison, a prestigious law firm on the Wall Street in New York .
