Mahama's exit has ensured sanity on airwaves - Prof. Adei

Prof Adei said they are responsible for giving a new vision to the entity by modelling a new set of culture to change the current one.

According to him, "Even before we see the installation of a new president, the atmosphere has become better."

Speaking on Accra-based Joy FM, he said the last two public utterances of President John Mahama after his defeat in the December 7 polls have been "very presidential."

He said  when new leaders take office, they do not need to continue with attitudes exhibited by the previous leaders.

Names of potential ministers have been put out with four days to the inauguration of President-elect, Nana Akufo-Addo.

Prof Adei said from the few names he has heard so far he was optimistic "he [Akufo-Addo] is on his way to put in place one of the most excellent cabinets Ghana has ever had…We await the full list.”

He said he was particularly happy for the appointment of Prof Kwabena Frimpong-Boateng as Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation.

“When I heard yesterday the mentioning of the name of Prof Kwabena Frimpong-Boateng as the Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation, this morning my wife and I, in our devotion, said: ‘Thank God for his appointment.’ I’m not going to get anything from Kwabena but I know Kwabena is not going there to take bribe.”
