Campaign posters of the former mayor of the Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA) Alfred Okoe Vanderpuije have emerged announcing him as the preferred presidential candidate for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in election 2020.

The posters, which bear his photo has the inscription, "Our hope for 2020 Okoe Vanderpuije" but it is unclear whether Alfred Okoe Vanderpuije has a hand in the manufacturing of the posters which have flooded social media.

It also describes Okoe Vanderpuije who doubles as the Member of Parliament for Ablekuma South as "The man you can trust, humble, grassroots man, true party man, experienced, unifier and visionary."

Although the NDC has not opened nominations yet, some bigwigs and other members of the party have shown their interest to lead the party in 2020.

However, similar posters of former Vice President Paa Kwesi Amissah-Arthur, Dr. Ekow Spio Garbrah, Mr. Slyvester Mensah, Hon Nii Amasah Namoale, Prof Joshua Alabi, Kwesi Ahwoi as a presidential aspirant of the NDC have emerged.
